This week the children had a look at the painting Christ in the Carpenters Shop by Millais.  The children were asked to think about who they thought was in the painting and what else they could see.  We read about the painting which is on display in the Tate gallery in London.

It told us that the painting was of Joseph, Mary, Jesus and his cousin John.  We talked about the family scene and the feelings that the characters could have experienced. We got into groups to talk about ideas and then we tried a freeze frame activity where we became the painting.
