We have been lucky enough to hatch our own Easter chicks in our class over the last two weeks! We were very excited to receive an incubator with 10 eggs and watched eagerly for signs of them hatching.
By Friday morning, we had seven baby chicks to take care of! Three were boys and four were girls.
We just couldn’t wait to cuddle them!
Our baby chicks needed names, so we thought of the best ideas we could and pulled the winners out of the hat.
In the creative area, we painted pictures of our chicks to go on the wall.
We now have a beautiful display in our classroom with lots of writing and photographs on. This will help us to remember our baby chicks when they go off to live on the farm!
