Getting to know our special friends.

Year 6 and Reception have been having a lovely time getting to know each other. They have enjoyed playing together and preparing the special ‘Welcome’ Collective Worship. On Thursday, Year 6 went with Reception class on their first visit to Gateshead library. All the children were extremely well behaved and Reception class chose some excellent books to bring back to school. Year 6 and Reception are looking forward to spending lots more fun time together as the year goes on.  ... read more

Year 6 Viking Invaders

On Monday, Year 6 visited Durham University to learn all about the Vikings. We had a great time investigating Viking objects, playing Viking games and even got to design our own swords. We can’t wait to make them back at... read more

Mennym Madness!

For the past 3 weeks, year 5 have been reading the story ‘The Mennyms’ which is a fantastic book about a living rag doll family named the Mennyms. Take a look at some of our Mennyms.... read more

Autumn Art Work

The children from Year 1 went on an Autumn hunt around our school on a very sunny October afternoon.  We worked in pairs to explore and talk about the leaves that we found. When we got back to the classroom we worked with a partner to choose our favourite leaves and stick them to our wreath.  We’ve left them drying over the weekend and hope the leaves have all... read more

Collective Worship: Friday 2nd October 2015

It was lovely to finally celebrate as a school on our first collective worship of the new school term.  It was wonderful to see our school hall full of parents and family members as our Year 6 children introduced their ‘Special Friends’ from Reception class to the school. We also celebrated lots of sporting achievements from the last few weeks: Cross Country, children taking part in the Great North Run, swimming success, football awards and gymnastics certificates.  What a busy morning!     Congratulations to all the children who achieved 100% attendance for the last school year.  We are so proud of you all!  Let’s see who can join them during this academic year!... read more
